Individual Counselling
Evidence-based therapies
For individual counselling, we utilise a variety of evidence-based therapies. Some of these include Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing for trauma treatment, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and somatic therapy.
Dialectial behavioural therapy
DBT is a powerful therapy that emphasises the development of skills for emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. Through this approach, we aim to empower you to effectively manage difficult emotions, cultivate healthy relationships, and live a life aligned with your values.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy is a body-focused approach to counselling that recognises the strong connection between the mind and body. This therapy understands that emotional pain and trauma can be stored in the body as physical tension or discomfort.
Through techniques like breathwork, movement, mindfulness, and body awareness, somatic therapy helps people tune into and release these stored experiences. The aim is to support healing not just through talking, but by noticing and working with how emotions show up physically.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
ACT encourages acceptance of challenging thoughts and emotions while actively working towards creating a meaningful and fulfilling life.
By helping you clarify your values, set meaningful goals, and develop psychological flexibility, we aim to support you in embracing your authentic self and making choices that align with your personal values.
